Our Tru Acoustics Studio windows come in 2 versions, the 45 STC window and the 56 STC window. They are both quality professional grade windows that are constructed of high strength aluminum frames and employ the finest in tempered laminated glass panes.
The 45STC studio window comes with an integrated glass unit that consists of 2 sheets of ¼” high tempered laminated glass units that are fused together to create a highly effective IG unit. The IG glass unit sets in the frame at a 7 degree angle which directs the reflected sound downwards as do all professional studio glass units. The 45 STC window is generally used in a 4” thick wall assembly and are perfect for a home studio. These windows are very easy to install in any wall assembly and provide superb isolation between the control room and the live room.
The 56 STC studio windows are similar to the 45 STC window, but have an extra pane of ¼” laminated glass that is situated vertically behind the slanted IG unit in the front part of the window. These windows are used extensively in commercial studio applications.
