You may ask “Why would I use soundproofing materials”?
The answer to this question is that you are looking to block sound from going through your ceilings, walls, windows and doors. You may be “soundproofing” for reasons of stopping your noise from bothering your neighbor or you may be trying to block your neighbor’s noise from reaching you. Other uses for “soundproofing materials” also include reducing the sounds produced by engines, turbines, airflow, and water flow through pipes. Always keep in mind that “soundproofing” is a misnomer as you are really trying to reduce the noise to a tolerable level for you.
